The product safety policy set by Exxon Mobil Corporation and its affiliates (sometimes collectively referred to as “ExxonMobil”) reflects our commitment to high operational standards. ExxonMobil applies a rigorous and consistent approach to identify and evaluate risks associated with new and modified products and their manufacture, use and disposal. ExxonMobil tests and monitors product safety and health factors.
We communicate results characterizing any risks and specify proper management processes to customers, third parties and the public where appropriate. Similarly, ExxonMobil is continuously adapting new technologies to improve product performance. In order to help ensure the safety of our products for both people and the environment, we regularly use new, scientific information in manufacturing and marketing of our chemical products which are used as chemical intermediates, plasticizers, polymers, solvents and synthetic lubricants.
