Office Max Paper Ream Wrap Boise/Office Max and Coating Excellence International
Boise Cascade produces and packages high-end copier paper sold in hundreds of Office Max stores around the country. To ensure timely delivery of inventory, Boise Cascade wraps its paper reams in several locations nationally. Coating Excellence International worked closely with ExxonMobil's technical team to develop a packaging material with the differential coefficient of friction necessary to handle the demands of Boise Cascade's high speed wrapping lines. The solution, was Bicor® ARW - a bi-layer OPP film that maintains stiffness and clarity throughout the machining process. The resulting lamination combines exceptional durability with a premium appearance in a package that makes its way to store shelves more efficiently.
Tootsie Roll Midgee Tootsie Roll Industries, Inc. and C-P Flexible Packaging
Tootsie Roll Industries wanted to improve the barrier capabilities of its product wrap and boost shelf appeal. The candy company worked with ExxonMobil to create a solution that combines ExxonMobil’s Bicor® 50 LBW with Metallyte® 50 TSPM. This new package enhances barrier protection and supports standout graphic visibility on store shelves. The results are a striking improvement in visual impact and significant increases in product freshness and softness.
PYRAMID AWARD WINNERS
Apple & Eve Juices Apple & Eve and Hammer Lithograph
To give its juice a premium look, Apple & Eve, one of the largest independently owned juice companies in the U.S., with total sales of over $90 million, decided to replace its round bottles with square containers. To complete the look, Adam & Eve selected ExxonMobil's Label-Lyte® LS-447 OPP film. The label fits snug to the juice's square bottle and provides an excellent surface for printing eye-catching graphics, which take advantage of the billboard effect from the square bottle.
Florida's Natural Juices Florida's Natural Growers / Citrus World and Hammer Lithograph
Florida's Natural Juices are destined for food service and vending distribution only. Therefore, these labels required exceptional stability in humid conditions. The winners chose Label-Lyte® LS-447 film from ExxonMobil Chemical to decorate their bottles for its scuff resistance, low curl attributes and lack of moisture absorption. These durable labels help preserve the brand equity that Florida's Natural Juices enjoys, regardless of environmental exposure or rugged handling conditions.
